About Katie Munoz:
Katie Munoz is an unexpected speaker. Born quiet and serious, she fell into public speaking by accident. After moving to Seattle and casting about ways to meet people, Katie signed up for various activities like ballroom dancing, skiing, and public speaking. She only went to the public speaking class because a friend wanted her to join.
Being a software engineer, Katie didn’t think she’d ever need that skill. And she was wrong. But Katie liked the people she met there, so she kept going back. To her great surprise — after getting through the initial stage fright — it became fun. The first time Katie made an audience laugh was an unforgettable adrenaline experience – even better than the best times skiing. And – BONUS — there was less chance of breaking a leg! It became a passion for Katie.
